Mechanical Edge-of-Dock Leveler

The MEDLF Series edgoe of dock levelers are low cost units meant for a captive fleet of trucks with a similar bed height. They normally mount to the face of the dock and can be placed in a small recessed pit. This is a light duty low cost alternative to the in pit style full size dock leveler. Also used when a pit cannot be utilized or as a retrofit. The “MEDLF” Series is typically used in an environment with minimal difference between trailer bed and dock and the unit is typically mounted to the dock face. Operation is a two step process with a “lift free” handle to place the unit in the trailer.

They come with bumper block assemblies and are available in 66”, 72”, 78” and 84” standard operable widths. Capacities available are 20K, 25K, 30K and 35K CIR (Comparative Industry Rating).

Cold-rolled steel hinge pins, secondary steel gussets for added strength and extended life are coupled with a leveler lip and deck constructed from high-strength 55,000 psi min. yield steel safety tread plate. Grease fittings are also standard throughout the hinge area.

A simple two-step pull/push process that is “easy” on the operator of the equipment. First insert handle, pull back to reach activation position and then push forward into the trailer. No fuss, no muss and no lifting required.

Automatic Return to Stored Position Once Trailer Departs
With the unit in the trailer as soon as the trailer departs your HED EOD automatically returns to the stored position with no action required by the dock attendant. If trailer stays at the dock you simply use the same simple push button to activate the unit till lip clears trailer and put it into stored position.
